About Coaching

Strategic Results Coaching is a unique way to “Get YOU out of YOUR own way and into YOUR life”

Strategic Results Coaching takes a fresh approach – focusing not on what is wrong in your life, but on where you want to go, right now, this moment!

Strategic Results Coaching is designed to keep you focused giving you that objectivity and support you’ll need along the way to expedite the process and make it more enjoyable.

Just as athletes have innate qualities and abilities that contribute to their overall performance, you have innate qualities and abilities that contribute to your overall success. Coaches (personal and athletic) assist in developing these abilities to bring about maximum performance. Coaching is a professional relationship designed to enhance an individual’s ability to focus, make effective changes, achieve desired goals and maximize success and fulfillment in life. It’s about winning at your game—your life!

Strategic Results Coaching and Athletic Coaching are similar in many ways.

  • Strategic Results Coaching support clients/athletes by providing a structure that creates consistency – i.e. weekly coaching calls/workout schedule.

  • Strategic Results Coaching fully embrace’s and develops client’s/athlete’s strengths, and improve the areas that need attention.

  • Strategic Results Coaching empowers clients/athletes to go beyond what they think they are capable of.

  • Strategic Results Coaching ensures clients/athletes have a solid foundation of “the basics”. Whether in sports or in life. It all starts with a solid foundation.

  • Strategic Results Coaching work with clients/athletes over time. Success doesn’t happen in a single workout or a single coaching session.

  • Strategic Results Coaching doesn’t play the game or do the work for clients/athletes, but the presence of a coach provides strength, encouragement, empowerment and additional insight – giving the client/athlete an edge they wouldn’t have on their own.

  • Strategic Results Coaching focuses on all of you, not just one area of your life.

  • Strategic Results Coaching assist clients/athletes in achieving their goals and dreams (Clients: more money, deeper relationships, productivity, fulfillment, balance, gratifying results – Athletes: The Olympics or The Super Bowl). You design the goals that are important to you. What are your personal Olympics? What would be your Super Bowl?

Where would Olympic athletes be without their coaches? Would they have made it to the Olympics? Would they have maximized their performance? Would they have become who they were intended to be?

A coach does just what an athletic coach or an acting coach does, only in a more complete and bigger way. A coach challenges you and takes the time to find out what winning in life means to you. A coach is your partner in living the life you desire to accomplish, personally and professionally. A coach is someone to hold you accountable for your life, to make sure you really do live up to your potential.

No matter where you are in life, there is always a desire for more. More success, better body, closer relationships, a deeper feeling of meaning in life, etc. It is the nature of people to attain more and become more and we all struggle with how to get what we’re looking for.

Most people believe that “hard work” and “doing it on your own” are the keys to finding the life, success, money, or happiness they seek. They believe that a price must be paid to attain what they want, and often that price is poor health, not having enough time to enjoy life, strained family relationships or lessened productivity. The saddest part is that even though this effort may result in more of something, it is often not the something you had in mind, and you are back where you started, or worse, further from your real intentions.

Athletes and performers know about this trap. They know they need someone else, a trained person, to help them set goals, discover real needs, and work effectively toward the ultimate goal of excellence. So they are willing to hire a coach. No serious athlete or musician would expect to progress very far without one.

How does coaching differ from Therapy? Sports coaching? Consulting? A best friend?

Therapy   Therapy/Counseling is about healing the past. Coaching is about taking action and moving into the future. Coaching is about moving fully into your life not figuring out why you are where you are but how to get where you are going.

Sports Coaching Coaching includes several principles from sports coaching like teamwork, reaching towards a goal, being your best. Getting the most out of you. Showing you how to win and play hard. Having you be your best player. Coaches strengthen the client’s skills. It’s all about winning at your game—your life!

Consulting Coaching is a form of consulting. But the coach stays with the client to help implement the new skills, changes and goals to make sure they really happen.

Best friend. A best friend wonderful to have. But is your best friend someone you’re going to show all your weaknesses to, be totally vulnerable with, confess your greatest fear, and take clear cut direction? No, because your best friend is your equal, your partner, your pal and you gotta always have one!

Imagine a relationship with someone…

  • Where YOU are the center of focus

  • Who is totally curious about your dreams and aspirations.

  • Who listens to you without judgment and accepts you without analyzing you.

  • Who will help you clarify your goals, values and purpose – providing the programs and tools to get you into action and focused on the results you desire.

  • Where you are inspired to go beyond the ordinary, raise your standards and live the life you have been seeking

  • Who believes in YOU is sometimes more committed to what you want in your life than you are.

  • Who knows your values, passions and life purpose and holds you true to them.

  • Who celebrates your victories and helps you learn from your setbacks.

  • Who is listening, not only to your words, but also to what’s behind the words, the nuances of your voice, your emotion, your energy – everything you communicate

  • Who will unequivocally tell you the truth – the truth about where you are strong, about how you show up, and where you are selling yourself short.

  • Imagine you get to talk to this person every week, regularly and consistently – to consolidate, to integrate and to push on.
